Olympique Marseille coach Rudi Garcia says Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah would be a worthy winner of the Ballon d'Or.

Garcia saw plenty of Salah during his time in charge of Salah's former club Roma.

He told L'Equipe: "What he does in Liverpool is phenomenal. He was more of a player with 15 goals per season than 30. But this is incredible and it's beautiful.

"He played the Champions League with Basel, then with us, he is used to a high level and he went into a demanding Championship like Serie A. I have the impression that the Premier League fits him like a glove.

"The Ballon d'Or is within reach? If he continues like that, yes. He breaks all records this season. If he goes to the final of the Champions League and he wins, he will be a candidate, certainly."
