Olympique Marseille coach Andre Villas-Boas has admitted interest in Leicester City striker Islam Slimani.

The Algeria international is currently on-loan at AS Monaco, where he has impressed.

ASM have expressed interest in making Slimani's stay permanent, though could face competition from Marseille with AVB a confirmed admirer.

He told DZ Foot: "We also talked about Slimani this season, but we had already made the decision for Dario (Benedetto).

"But he remains an interesting player."
