Marseille chief Zubizaretta: We tried for Juventus striker Kean

Olympique Marseille chief Andoni Zubizaretta admits they were keen on Juventus striker Moise Kean last summer.

However, Zubi says they needed to shift out Clinton Njie before having any chance of bringing Kean to France.

He said of trying to sign the 18 year-old: "Others were playing at the same time in his position, there was the possibility of sending Clinton (Njie) to Lisbon. Nemanja Radonjic had not arrived yet. If Clinton had signed for Sporting, it could have been different.

"But Juventus did not want a loan, the discussion quickly ended. The mercato has produced a cycle with a lot of phone calls over the last three days. There were a lot of calls, but none has materialized."
