Marseille, Benfica threaten Everton plans for Todibo

Everton risk losing the battle for the signature of Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

Everton have been in talks for several weeks with Barca over a fee for the Frenchman, who spent the past season in Germany on-loan with Schalke.

With no agreement struck, that has left the door open to rival suitors and Foot Mercato says Benfica and Olympique Marseille have now come forward to declare their interest.

Barca are eager to sell Todibo this summer, at a price of €25m. Everton have so far intimated a willingness to pay €20m plus €5m in bonuses.

The defender has a deal with Barca to 2023.
