Former Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch says approaches from other Premier League clubs came at the wrong time.
The American was sacked by Leeds after a string of poor results earlier this year.
However, he soon received management offers from Southampton and Leicester City, which he turned down.
“I would say that both clubs were amazing and the people were fantastic, but the timing wasn't right," Marsch told The Athletic.
“There have been a lot of little discussions about potential opportunities, which I always love those discussions because it's important to get to the bottom of understanding what the vision is, from my perspective and from different clubs' perspective," Marsch added.
“I'm fortunate that there's still people that are interested in what I do. I still love coaching and my next job will be all about finding the best fit possible."
