Belgian youngster Marnick Vermijl has continued his rapid progress at Manchester United.

The fullback was handed a first start for the reserves in yesterday's 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers.

The young Belgian looked more than capable in unfamiliar territory, repeatedly posing questions of the home defence and flashing two efforts wide of Blackburn's post.
