Marcelo Pitaluga makes Liverpool U18 debut in thrashing of Leeds

Marcelo Pitaluga made his debut for Liverpool and kept a clean sheet in their 5-0 thrashing of Leeds United U18 on Saturday.

Mateusz Musialowski netted his first goal for Liverpool and Brazilian goalkeeper Pitaluga made a first competitive start as the under-18s romped to victory.

Layton Stewart, Melkamu Frauendorf and substitutes Isaac Mabaya and Oakley Cannonier were also on target in a 5-0 win over Leeds United at Melwood on Saturday afternoon.

The result moved Marc Bridge-Wilkinson's side to the top of the U18 Premier League, albeit having played a game more than nearest challengers Manchester United and City.

Pitaluga, the 17-year-old goalkeeper signed from Fluminese for £1million last month, was solid between the posts and Liverpool were rarely troubled on the day.
