Marcelo Bielsa could quit Leeds United if they fail to win Premier League promotion.
The Mirror says the Argentine coach was the bold choice of committed owner Andrea Radrizzani to end the Yorkshire club's 15-year exile from the Premier League.
Radrizzani made Bielsa the highest paid EFL boss in history – on £4million a year – and also splashed the cash on a large support team for the much-travelled manager.
And, although he still has another 12 months to run on his deal, it is understood that the self-critical Bielsa would deem missing out on promotion this season to be an abject failure.
That would then leave Radrizzani with a huge job to persuade the 63-year-old to stay at Elland Road.
