Argentine legend Diego Maradona has stood his ground over a spat with Spain captain Sergio Ramos.
Real Madrid defender Ramos took issue with Maradona after the former Barcelona star declared Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin a "craque", while stating the Spain international "was not a craque".
Ramos replied, stating: "I respect Maradona because he is a great man. For me, he's a craque, but I also say that Argentine football knows that Maradona is light years from the best Argentine player in history, which is (Lionel) Messi."
But Maradona has since declared: "If I have offended lately, I apologize, but I will not change my speech. He is a great player, a great captain, he can be a good leader as we can see at Real Madrid but in my opinion Sergio Ramos is not a craque. A craque is for example Xavi and even Andres Iniesta. He is a total craque."
