Mangala's Man City transfer forces FIFA probe

Eliaqium Mangala's move from Porto to Manchester City in 2014 is subject to investigation, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Mangala arrived at City for a fee believed to be around £32million but it was later reported that the actual fee was in fact £42million.

The France international was part owned by Porto and part by investment companies Doyen Sports and Robi Plus during the time of the transfer, meaning that the Portuguese side received €30million while the third party owners raked in €23million.

Now the controversy stems from the fact that Porto allow Doyen Sports to negotiate the terms of the deal with City, which goes against FIFA regulations and if found guilty, the Portuguese side could face a transfer ban.
