Mane, Henderson hit training pitch to boost Liverpool

Sadio Mane joined Liverpool training on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old was a doubt after suffering a rib injury on international duty with Senegal, and was substituted in the 28th minute of their match against Togo in African qualifying for the 2022 World Cup on Thursday.

The former Southampton forward then returned to Liverpool following X-rays to determine the extent of the damage, with Jurgen Klopp fretting on the fitness of a key forward.

But Mane was pictured in training with his Reds team-mates at Kirkby on Tuesday morning, and did not show any ill effects from the blow he had suffered when away with his country, says the Daily Mail.

Captain Jordan Henderson and midfielders James Milner and Harvey Elliott were also seen out on the training pitch, but were working away from the main group.
