Mancini wants fans to be excited about Italy again

Italy coach Roberto Mancini wants fans to be excited about the national team again.

Italy are preparing for tonight's Euro 2020 qualifier against Liechtenstein.

“I'll be able to change some players, but we must have our own identity, regardless of our opponents," Mancini said at a Press conference.

“It'll be important to address the match quickly so it doesn't become complicated. Our objective is to make fans enthusiastic about us again.

“We have no choice but to do something different compared to the past in order to excite them. We'll change something.

"I haven't made any decisions yet, but I'll definitely change 3-4 players, maybe even a few more. We still have a lot of work to do.

“Verratti can play as a 'regista', but so can Sensi and Barella. They are players who can play in front of the defence and sometimes they do it during the game.

“They're tactically good players, who understand match situations. Our game shouldn't make us think about our opponents.

“We'll have to be very aggressive tomorrow night. The game isn't a foregone conclusion. We saw it during Brazil-Panama."
