Real Madrid are set to lose their regional betting deal in Asia with ManBetX at the end of the ongoing 2019/20 season, according to Palco23, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
The La Liga club signed an initial two-year deal, worth in excess of €1 million (US$1.11 million), with ManBetX in September 2018 that gave the Malta-based gambling firm marketing rights in Asia and included a two-year extension clause.
Now, the company is apparently set to reject the automatic extension of that contract, which the club had been expecting it to sign.
If ManBetX's departure is confirmed, China Citic Bank will soon be Real's only dedicated Asian sponsor after Yili, the Chinese dairy giants, let its contract expire in 2019.
