Having signed a contract extension that will keep him with United until 2012 only 12 months ago, O'Shea is clearly intent on hanging around for a while yet.
He should certainly have plenty of involvement over the next few months, either at centre-half, in midfield or either of the full-back roles, which is the main factor in explaining why he is so happy with his only professional club.
"Being in the team is the be all and end all," he said.
"It doesn't matter where you play, you just have to make sure you do your job.
"I just want to play as many games as I can, keep doing well and help the team win trophies."
