Man Utd yet to act on four players coming off contract

Manchester United veteran Nemanja Matic's future remains under a cloud.

The Manchester Evening News says Matic, 31, has technically entered the last four months of his deal but United could activate a one-year option to tie him to the club until 2021. Although Matic has enjoyed an upturn in form over the last two months, United have not yet triggered the extension.

Academy graduates Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Demetri Mitchell, and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson are also approaching the final three months of their United contracts - which include one-year options - yet could all be let go.

Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong have entered the last six months of their contracts with no option of an additional year.
