Manchester United winger Nani has cleared up claims of a rift with Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz over his World Cup ending injury.
Nani suffered a shoulder injury in training days before the World Cup and was omitted from the squad by Queiroz.
It had been claimed the decision was made prematurely, but Nani said yesterday: "I did not answer properly the question of how long I thought it would be necessary for my recovery.
"Therefore I am sorry that I have created this uncertainty. I did give, after a long journey, only a short answer, but I had to explain the situation better.
"In fact, I said I thought I would be recovered in one week, but what I meant to say was I would again be able to do the normal everyday things.
"After a week I am still unable to play football."
