Utrecht midfielder Taylor Booth might be a surprise summer target for Manchester United.

The Red Devils are chasing after a central midfielder to improve the engine room of their team.

Per The Mail, manager Erik ten Hag rates the American international Booth extremely highly.

He believes that the American has what it takes to succeed at the very top level of the Premier League.

United would see Booth as more of a squad player, especially if they sell the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay.

The latter is wanted by Newcastle, while Fred may not be in manager ten Hag's plans for next season.
