Man Utd veteran Young season could be over

Ashley Young's season could be over at Manchester United.

The 31-year-old suffered a hamstring blow and was forced from the field after coming off the bench during his side's Europa League semi-final first-leg victory over Celta Vigo.

The Manchester Evening News says he will be assessed over the next 48 hours but the initial fear is that the damage will prevent him from playing again this month.

Former England star Young replaced Henrikh Mkhitaryan on 78 minutes of the clash in Spain.

However, just 11 minutes later he had to go off in place of Chris Smalling after stretching to block a cross inside United's box.
