Manchester United veteran Nemanja Matic insists he and his teammates are looking forward to the daunting trip to Liverpool on Sunday.

United travel to Merseyside to face the league leaders having been the only team so far this season to take any points off them in the Premier League.

“Of course it will be another big game for us and Liverpool as we know we are in a good run," Matic told manutd.com.

“But it's a game to enjoy, and to compare our qualities with the best players and with one of the best teams. I'm looking forward to that and I'm sure we'll be ready."

He added: "In England it's hard because we play every three days. But that's why this league has the best players and you have to be ready for that.

“It's not easy but we need to be mentally strong, prepared and it's busy this period but at the beginning of February we will have time to rest and we have to use that."
