Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic is backing Carlo Ancelotti for success with Everton.

The sacked Napoli coach is expected to be soon confirmed new Toffees manager.

Matic, who played for Ancelotti at Chelsea, said: "I don't know, he hasn't signed yet, difficult to say. We worked together in 2009-10, he is a great coach, we won the Premier at Chelsea.

"He has won many titles, I don't remember how many Champions Leagues. He will do well in whichever team he will go, in the last 20 years he has been one of the best.

"He can make any team perform at their best."
