Manchester United veteran Juan Mata is impressed by the creativity and guile of new signing Donny van de Beek.
The Dutchman started in midfield for the Red Devils in their 3-0 win over Brighton in the Carabao Cup.
It is a result that takes United into the last eight of the competition.
Mata, who got one of the goals, was happy with van de Beek's contribution.
"It was a very clever assist [from van de Beek for Mata's goal]. He's a very clever player," Mata told Sky Sports.
"I love playing with him because he finds pockets and spaces.
"He understands football in a way that I like, which is playing one-twos, passing and moving, and the goal was like that."
