Man Utd U21 coach Joyce desperate to produce first teamers

Manchester United U21 coach Warren Joyce is desperate to see more of his young players break into the first team.

Joyce admits they appear to be producing top players for other clubs at the moment.

He told manutd.com: "It's a hard fact that we have produced more than other clubs and most of them have been here since they were eight as well. They have gone out and had good careers when we have sold them on to the Premier League and Championship. There has been the odd one to League One but not many - most of them are in the top two divisions.

"The main aim is to get boys in the first team but that's the hardest thing to do because there are world-class players at this club. Nobody wants to leave or lose their place to young kids. But it should be hard for them to get into the team because we have got to win every game. We cannot afford to lose any game which means the demands on all the players has to be at the hardest level. They have got to be busting a gut in the last minute to make sure they get three points. It must be that hard."
