Man Utd U21 coach Binnion happy with season so far

Manchester United U21 coach Travis Binnion admits he's been happy with the season so far.

Binnion took charge of the U21s this term.

"I'm enjoying it. Last season, I was taking the Under-18s with a responsibility for the U21s, so it was quite fluid," Binnion told the Manchester Evening News.

"It still is fluid and I think the UEFA Youth League highlights that more than anything because you can be dealing with Willy Kambwala and Dan Gore, who are with the first-team a lot of days, to having younger players in the next few games.

"Sometimes it's four or five age groups worth of players coming together. There have been no significant changes, but I'm a year wiser in knowing what the manager and the first-team staff want, so that's been a lot easier and a lot more seamless.

"You're already knowing what's coming and what the expectations are on you and the players. I think we're getting to a point of real consistency, whether that's Erik with the first-team, or Adam [Lawrence] with the U18s."
