Manchester United have handed trials to Matheus Marcosi.
The Sun says United have links with Desportivo Brasil and have watched the 16-year-old at their Carrington training ground previously.
And Marcosi, who is thought to be best used in defence or midfield, is back this week to try and showcase his talents and persuade Jose Mourinho's coaching team to offer him a deal with the club.
Red Devils boss Mourinho is trying to enhance United's scouting structure and landed super-scout Gerardo Guzman from Atletico Madrid on deadline day.
Guzman uncovered gems like Santi Cazorla, Antoine Griezmann, Saul Niguez, Koke, Radamel Falcao and Koke during his time working with the Liga club.
