Manchester United have been tracking Fiorentina attacker Federico Chiesa this season.
Le 10 Sport says Juventus and Inter Milan are also interested in Chiesa, who is valued at around £54million.
But United have already sent scouts over to Italy to watch the striker in action.
Chiesa came through the youth ranks at Fiorentina, joining the club way back in 2007 and spent nine years in the academy.
His 17 international caps for Italy means he is just five short of his dad Enrico, who scored seven from his 22 games for the Azzurri between 1996 and 2001.
The Fiorentina star has two years still left to run on his current contract but his current employers are trying to convince him to sign a new deal.
