Manchester United will be told to go higher as they move for Getafe midfielder Mauro Arambarri.

AS via Fotboll Transfers says United are preparing a €20m offer for the Uruguay international, who is also interesting Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan.

Getafe insist Arambarri won't leave for less than his €25m buyout clause.

United are also being linked with Marcos Llorente, 26, but given that Atlético are demanding €80m to sell, Arambarri could be a cheaper alternative.

Arambarri has scored three goals in 34 competitive matches this season.

Getafe are safe for another season with victory over Levante on Sunday seeing them four points clear of the bottom three with one more game left for the LaLiga season.

However, with Arrambarri's contract carrying a buyout clause, there's still every prospect of Getafe losing their star midfielder this summer.

The 25 year-old has a contract to 2023 and also boasts four caps with Uruguay.
