Man Utd told they should only pursue Rice if he fits in ten Hag system

Former Manchester United midfielder Kleberson believes the club should only pursue West Ham UnitedDeclan Rice if he fits their system.

Rice is the prime target for United as they look to revitalise the midfield and recover from the likely departure of Paul Pogba on a free transfer.

Kleberson, a Brazilian World Cup winner who failed to make the grade at United, has warned the club about signing Rice if he does not fit into incoming coach Erik ten Hag's setup.

He told Goal: "Whether Declan Rice is worth £100m depends on how Erik ten Hag wants to play. Declan Rice is a good player, and he can help Manchester United to make better decisions in most areas, but it all depends on how the new manager uses him.

"He's not a big signing but more of a project and he would fit in well at United. It might take a bit of time for him to settle, but the more minutes he gets, he can help Manchester United."
