Manchester United are ready to focus on a deal for Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish this summer, it has been revealed.

The Mirror says United are poised to prioritise a huge summer bid for Jack Grealish after James Maddison moved closer to penning a new deal at Leicester.

Aston Villa skipper Grealish has been in sensational form this season with nine goals and five assists after inspiring the promoted club into the Carabao Cup final.

Grealish, 24, steadfastly refused to contemplate leaving his boyhood club last month as he is focused on leading them to survival.

But the star's future is set to be decided this summer with a number of top clubs keen on the attacking midfielder who is expected to make his England debut in next month's friendlies.

United were also eyeing Grealish's close pal Maddison but he is now close to signing a new contract with Leicester after opening talks in December.
