Manchester United have reportedly told goalkeeper Sam Johnstone he is free to sign a loan deal in the Championship.
The Daily Mail is reporting that at least six Championship clubs including Preston North End, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bristol City, Reading, Huddersfield Town and Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing the 22-year-old shot-stopper to a 28-day loan contract.
It is understood United are hesitant to allow Johnstone to leave on a permanent deal, especially with the future of fellow Red Devils goalkeeper Victor Valdes still up in the air.
