Manchester United are ready to bid for Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

The Daily Mail says the Toffees are believed to be open to the idea of selling Gueye but want to recoup a fee of around £40million for the player, who has three years left on his contract.

Manchester United consider the Everton midfielder to be a good anchor man to play alongside Paul Pogba in the middle of the park.

The France international benefited from having N'Golo Kante mop up behind him as Les Bleus triumphed in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Red Devils are looking to replicate this partnership but with Gueye at Old Trafford in the hope it will get the best out of their £89million man.
