Manchester United are set to announce a new contract for Anthony Martial in the coming week.

TF1 says United will announce that Martial has extended his contract with the club in the next week.

A new deal keeping Martial at Old Trafford until 2024 has been agreed with the forward and his agent Philippe Lamboley.

The news will come as a major U-turn should it be announced in the next few days.

Martial had appeared set to leave the club in the summer after falling out of favour with the now former boss Jose Mourinho, who publicly criticised him for not returning to the club's pre-season training camp in the US following the birth of his child.
