Manchester United are eyeing Inter Milan fullback Joao Cancelo.

Calciomercato.com says Cancelo is currently on loan at Inter Milan from Valencia and the Italian club have the option to sign the full-back on a permanent deal for £30m.

The 23-year-old has put in a number of excellent displays this season, making 18 appearances and registering three assists.

Inter are still confident they can sign Cancelo permanently but they are unwilling to pay the pre-arranged fee of £30m to Valencia.

The stall in negotiations has alerted the attentions of Manchester United, who are reportedly monitoring the Portugal international.

Jose Mourinho is believed to be planning a major overhaul of his squad this summer and is particularly keen to revamp his defence.
