Manchester United are keeping tabs on Swansea City defender Joe Rodon.
The 22-year-old is seen as a cheaper target than Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants a top centre-back to partner Harry Maguire next season.
While Koulibaly is the main target, the Independent reports that Rodon is seen as a budget friendly option.
Rodon is on United's transfer list, but it is unclear if Swansea are willing to sell.
Other clubs may also want the player, and he may feel a move to United is too soon, as he would have competition for his place at such a big club.
Rodon does have the approval of United legend and Wales boss Ryan Giggs, who recently compared him to United favorite Gary Pallister.
