Jadon Sancho concedes he's battling for form at Borussia Dortmund.
Manchester United wanted to sign Sancho in the summer window and Sancho wanted to move to Old Trafford, but the club were unwilling to match Dortmund's £108million price tag and walked away from a deal, despite him being their top transfer target.
Sancho has now given a rare interview stating his belief that he will turn his form around after a difficult period.
"I am just happy that I am playing," Sancho told DAZN. "I have coaches and teammates that believe in me. Recently, it's been a hard situation for me. But it's all about how I come back and have performances like this [against Brugge]. They will hopefully get me back to the top, how I was playing before."
Sancho and United star Mason Greenwood were among those pipped by Dortmund striker Erling Haaland to the prestigious European Golden Boy award in recent days.
The 20-year-old congratulated his BVB teammate — who has also been on United's transfer radar — on picking up the prize.
"He deserves the Golden Boy award," Sancho added on Haaland. "He works hard on and off the pitch. He deserves everything that is coming his way."
