Chile coach Claudio Borghi has already given Sanchez permission to miss Thursday's friendly against Paraguay so he can finalise his move to Barca.
Chilean radio reports Sanchez informed teammates after Friday's training session: "I am leaving to join Barcelona".
Barca are willing to pay €37.5 million cash to Udinese for Sanchez, who will sign a four-year deal worth €3 million-a-season.
The terms were fixed last week by agent Fernando Felicevich, who also spoke with Manchester United and Manchester City before agreeing a move with Barca.
