Man Utd target PSV whizkid Bergwijn as Alexis replacement

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has identified his replacement for Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean has scored just four goals for United since joining from Arsenal in January and Mourinho is now ready to move on.

According to Dutch publication De Telegraaf, Mourinho wants to sign Tottenham target Steven Bergwijn to replace Sanchez.

The PSV Eindhoven winger is reportedly available for just £17.5million due to a release clause in his contract.

Bergwijn, 21, was handed his first cap for the Netherlands in last week's 3-0 victory over Germany.

The report claims United have watched the Amsterdam native on a number of occasions recently and have seen enough to prepare an offer in January.

However, the Red Devils would have to offload Alexis first which could prove difficult given he earns approximately £465,000-per-week at Old Trafford.
