One-time Manchester United target Manuel Neuer has decided to join German giants Bayern Munich.
The 25-year old FC Schalke goalkeeper, widely rated as the number one in the world, has been attracting plenty of interest from the English champions but it seems certain that he will join Bayern as soon as he returns from international obligations with Germany.
"I am really looking forward to this huge and exciting challenge at Bayern," said Neuer. "Many of my international teammates will be my teammates in Munich.
"Therefore I won't be going into a new environment and will certainly settle in quickly."
