Nathan Collins has ended talk around his future by penning a new deal with Stoke City.

Collins was interesting Manchester United this summer.

The 18-year-old Irish youth international is highly rated in his central defensive position.

And he has now signed a new five-year contract at Stoke, the Sky Bet Championship club have announced.

Potters manager Nathan Jones said: “Nathan is a very talented young man.

“He's willing to learn, which is the most important thing, and we're delighted that he sees his long-term future with us."
