Manchester United are eyeing Valencia fullback Jose Luis Gaya.
The Mirror says United are switching sights to Valencia left-back Gaya after being priced out of a move for Juventus' Alex Sandro.
Boss Jose Mourinho had identified Brazilian Sandro as top target.
But Juve's £50million demands have been deemed too steep.
That has opened the door for Paris Saint-Germain to make a move and caused Mourinho to look to another long-term target in Gaya.
The 23-year-old is rated at closer to £30m after signing a new contract at Valencia, where he came through the ranks, only last month.
