Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo is continuing to train at the Portuguese Federation's Cidade de Futebol.

Tribalfootball.com revealed on Sunday that Ronaldo had been training at the City of Football over the past week in anticipation of joining United's preseason at Carrington.

Ronaldo was again at the national team's training facilities on Monday after missing his scheduled return to Carrington.

United are fully aware of Ronaldo's absence from training, with family reasons cited as the cause for the star forward not arriving back from a summer break to join his team-mates at their training base in Carrington.

Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes met with United officials last week to relay his client's wish they listen to offers for him this summer.

The striker is due to hold talks with new manager Erik ten Hag on his return to the club.
