Man Utd striker Rashford: Key reason for improved form

Manchester United talisman Marcus Rashford believes that fitness is the reason for his improved form.

The striker endured a miserable last season with the club, where he struggled to score and was out of the team by the end of the term.

However, Rashford has come roaring back under new boss Erik ten Hag, as he is now United's top scorer and most important attacker.

On his improved form, Rashford told a press conference: “Probably the main thing is that I have come into the season fit. I was 100% fit. I had a good training camp in the summer with my team before the pre-season and when I met up for pre-season it was obviously a change, we had a new manager and a new way of playing and it was exciting to me.

“I just wanted to give it everything I could and I have not looked back since then."

On the team's general improvement under ten Hag, he added: "I feel like we have come on a lot as a team and won big games with our style of play. It's been a while since I could sit here and say that.

“We have beaten big teams in the past and won big games but we have always had to do it a different way from what we would have preferred to do it. This season we have tried our best to play our way of football and try to win games."
