Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku admits manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's style of play demands greater fitness from the players.
Lukaku believes it is vital Solskjaer is given the chance to work with his squad over a ful pre-season – particularly given the high-intensity game he is trying to implement.
He said: “It is a different playing style now. There is more intensity and you have to be physically prepared.
“We will be much better. It is not easy changing a manager in the middle of a season. Next year we will be up there."
Lukaku was speaking after Sunday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
