Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao aims to lead Colombia in the Copa America.
The 29-year-old missed the World Cup finals last year with a knee injury but his country still reached the quarter-finals before going out to host nation Brazil.
"The national squad has brought together a team of young players who all come from the same background," Falcao explained to ManUtd.com. "We're all young and our main objective is to strengthen ourselves, ready for the World Cup in Russia.
"The Copa America in the United States will help us with that objective. We really want to do our best in order to be among the elite."
