Man Utd striker Cavani prefers staying Europe over South America return

Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani is not giving up on his career in Europe as yet.

The Uruguayan is out of contract at United in the summer, and is unlikely to spend another season in England.

Fabrizio Romano reports that River Plate want to sign Cavani, but the transfer specialist says that the forward is not ready to return to South America.

Argentina giants River Plate have shown an interest in the 34-year-old.

Cavani may fancy another European move, perhaps to La Liga.

He was linked to Barcelona in the winter, but United were unwilling to release him from the rest of his contract.
