Man Utd striker Ashley Fletcher scores in Barnsley Johnstone's Paint Trophy final win

Manchester United striker Ashley Fletcher struck for Barnsley as they beat Oxford United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final.

Fletcher, 20, netted in the competition on his first start for the League One club back in January, and was named in the starting XI for Sunday's final.

Oxford took a surprise lead into the break courtesy of Callum O'Dowda, but a roaring response from Paul Heckinbottom's men did the damage for Barnsley.

Sam Winnall helped the Tykes to level before Fletcher fired home from inside the box to put them ahead. A curling effort from Adam Hamill made it 3-1 before a late goal from Oxford's Danny Hylton ensured a tense finale.

But the Tykes held on to take the honours at Wembley.
