Man Utd striker Alexis Sanchez fluffs penalty in Chile defeat

Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez fluffed a penalty for Chile in their defeat to Costa Rica.

Alexis missed a penalty for Chile as they succumbed to a 3-2 loss at home to Costa Rica.

The 29-year-old did score eight minutes later to make for a tense finale, but the loss and penalty miss ultimately overshadowed Sanchez's second goal for club and country this season.

It's been over a year since Sanchez scored his last international goal against Ecuador in October 2017.

The bustling forward has scored only three league goals in 21 appearances for United since his January arrival from Arsenal.
