Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes the club still needs to sign four or five players to reach the highest level.
The Red Devils have experienced a slight uptick in form, winning five of their last six games in all competitions.
They are up to seventh in the Premier League, only a point away from fifth place.
But Neville believes there is still a lot that needs improving at the club.
"Look, Manchester United need four or five players with real quality and experience," the ex-United defender said on theGary Neville Podcast .
"They need another centre back, they need a left-back and a couple of central midfielders and a striker or a forward.
"That's not going to change and won't change entirely even after January. But there's something there."
