Manchester United coasted into the group stage proper of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Red Devils defeated Club Brugge 4-0 at the Jan Breydel Stadium to win the two-legged play-off tie 7-1 on aggregate following last week's 3-1 triumph at Old Trafford.
The win means United are back in Europe's premier club competition after missing out last season and the match also marked the return to form of captain Wayne Rooney who scored a hat-trick which was not lost on teammates Ashley Young and Phil Jones.
Great performance tonight, important we put ourselves in the draw tomorrow. Special mention for @WayneRooney#MUFC#ChampionsLeague
