Manchester United pair Wayne Rooney and Radamel Falcao are expected to be fit for the derby at Manchester City on Sunday. The Mirror says Rooney is winning his battle to be fit for Sunday's Manchester derby.
The United skipper has been receiving treatment on a sore foot - and was clearly in discomfort during a commercial event at Old Trafford on Monday.
But the striker, who has been suspended for United's last three games after being sent off against West Ham last month, is progressing well and is confident of facing City at the Etihad this weekend.
If he and Rooney both return, it would give manager Louis van Gaal a full complement of strikers to take on the champions.
