Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has words of wisdom for young tennis sensation Emma Raducanu.

The teenager had to withdraw from her round of 16 clash at Wimbledon against Alja Tomljanovic on Monday after breathing problems.

The youngster later stated the occasion had become too much for her, given she was playing such an important game in front of her home crowd.

"The medical team advised me not to continue and although it felt like the hardest thing in the world not to be able to finish my Wimbledon on the court, I was not well enough to carry on," said the 18-year-old world No. 333 as part of a statement on social media.

Rashford replied to her on Twitter, stating: "It happened to me playing for the national team in U16s against Wales.

"I remember it to this day. No explanation for it and it never happened again. You should be very proud of yourself.

"The country is proud of you. Glad to read your feeling better. Onwards and upwards."
